One of Neil’s first real breaks came when the Wood Brother asked him to drive the famed 21 car. The 21 car had serval great pilots including Curtis Turner, Tiny Lund, Fireball Roberts, Bob Welborn, Dale Jarrett, A.J. Foyt, Glen Wood, Buddy Baker, Marvin Panch, Junior Johnson, Cale Yarborough, Ned Jarrett, Fred Lorenzen, David Pearson, Joe Weatherly, Ralph Earnhardt, Neil Bonnett, Ricky Rudd, Mark Martin, and Bill Elliott. This year the famed 21 was driven by Harrison Burton. Currently the Wood Brothers Mustang is in the top 31 in the points, not too bad for his second year considering all the bad luck the team has endured. With 10 races to go he has time to improve his points standing. It must help at times to have a father like Jeff Burton with all the success he had in his career. Eddie Wood said he was happy with the progress the team made this year and they are looking forward to the 2024 season. Good luck to the entire 21 team!
